Sustainability for Kids with Learn2Think and The Marine Foundation on the 14th & 15th November

Earlier this year we had a number of requests from our community for us to host events that they could bring their kids to.

We are delighted to be involved with two wonderfully inspiring events for children next weekend at The Hospital Club’s Sustainability Week.

Next weekend is all about hearing from future generations and learning from their infinite wisdom!

Saturday 14th November – I wonder workshop with Learn2Think Foundation

CALLING ALL KIDS!

Grown-ups need your help – they haven’t got a clue.  They desperately need your brain power to help come up with new ideas for how to solve some of the world’s great mysteries like ‘what kind of world do you want to live in and why,’ ‘what do you love best about the world now,’ ‘is the world fair’ and ‘what innovations do we need in technology and in the way we live to make the world a better, fairer place?’

Come and flex your thinking muscles in a fun workshop crammed full of stories, acting, snacking and generally jumping about!

Here’s what happened last year

The workshop is run by the Learn2Think Foundation. It is made possible by the support of Rapscallion Press. There will be an opportunity to purchase a limited first edition of Journey to the Beginning of the World, a philosophical adventure book written and created by the organisers of the workshop. Copies are £25 and proceeds are funding a free book drop to schools. You will also get the chance to have your book signed at the event.

For 6-11 year olds. Doors at 11am for an 11.30am start. Book below for 1 person (1 adult can bring up to 3 children). All materials will be provided on the day and there will be a children’s menu available too.

Sunday 15th November – Zaza the Mermaid – Eco – arts workshop with The Marine Foundation

Doors at 11.00am for an 11.30am start

Book below for 1 person (1 adult can bring up to 3 children)

zaza

Zaza is a confident and passionate eco-mermaid. Come and play in her magical world under the sea and help save her friends.

Journey with the Mermaids into the wonders of the sea, see the amazing creatures that live below the waves and learn about the ecological issues causing the destruction of the marine environment.

This imaginative and interactive workshop enables children to embark on a magical journey into the underwater world and how Zaza the mermaid loves her home under the sea and all the creatures that live there. Combining real eco-issues with fun, the children actively create their own meeting with the underwater world through storytelling, imagery, sound and drawing.
