I am working with Santander University at present. Their CSR department is investing into social entrepreneurship and we are using the Graves’ levels to clarify which stages of entrepreneurship they want to focus on. The overall objective is to create a support framework which helps entrepreneurs to understand what the upcoming challenges for successful entrepreneurs are (and to provide them with timely support and tools).
During that work I came across a paper from the Netherlands where someone looked at the Graves levels and how they relate to CSR. It is quite useful because the motivation of CSR is very different at the 4 main stages.
Also, in true Dutch style there are some simple and pragmatic tables which might prove useful. I thought you might be interested.
