Beyond Good Business – 23 May

Hatch is a unique incubator focusing on building out businesses that improve the social and economic fabric of their community. Hatch has pioneered programmes for women, for ethnic minorities and within specific geographic regions. They play a vital role in the very early stages of a business, where few organisations focus, through to longer term partnering for incubation and acceleration.

On 23 May, at the Royal Institution, Hatch are hosting Beyond Good Business, an event that brings together more than 250 mission-driven start-ups corporate partners, social investors and sector support agencies to explore how business could address social and environmental challenges through enterprise. This conference envisions a future where mission driven businesses, startups and corporates are exchanging resources and ideas to foster innovation and inclusive growth.

Partners are diverse and include Deutsche Bank, Big Society Capital and the RSA.

The day will be experiential and fun – and include workshops, plenary sessions, challenges and inspiring speeches by leading figures in the sector. You can:

  • Learn how major ‘disruptors’ are re-imagining the purpose of business and re-inventing workplace ideals

  • Reflect on balancing purpose and profit

  • Learn from national and international partners how they incubate and accelerate mission driven businesses and workplace innovation and what tools they use

  • Judge Live Pitches of purpose-driven businesses for their chance to secure financial and non-financial support for their ventures (up to £10,000)

We will be running an ideation workshop which pits the skills and resourcefulness of entrepreneurs against intrapreneurs – start-ups against large business – in an exciting opportunity to learn together while solving real challenges. Do let me know if you’d like to be involved in this part of the event as a challenge holder, participant or mentor.
